Product Description

XQ series hydraulic power tongs, with advanced steering control structure and tubing clamping technology, and equipped with hydraulic backups, are ideal equipment for make-up/break-out various sizes of sucker rods, tubing, small casing and small drill pipe during oilfield workover operations.
 
Model XQ140/12 Hydraulic Power Tongs is a larger torque tongs in the XQY series, It consists of the main tongs and backup tongs. The nominal diameter of the main tongs head is 150mm. The nominal diameter of the backup tongs head is 160mm. The nominal torque is 12KN·m. It is suitable for making up and breaking out 73( 2 7/8″),89( 3 1/2″),114( 4 1/2″),140( 5 1/2″)mm pips, and 73( 2 7/8″),89( 3 1/2″),114( 4 1/2″)mm small drill rod joints and 127(5˝), 140(51 /2˝)mm casing string thread. It is an ideal complete set of equipment which is used for servicing well. It is of the following features:
 
1. The master tongs and back up tongs adopt the clamping mechanism of the internal curved surface roller climbing. The dies are used in common. The die seats can be changed to need the different calibers of pipe clamping.
 
2. The rotation of master tongs and backup tongs is controlled by the same manual reversing valve. The operational steps are simple and reliable.
 
3. The main tongs is equipped with four-gear shifting mechanism, when adjusting the system pressure and flow appropriately, it can get the torque and speed value which is applicable to the wider range
 
4.The manual reversing valve is equipped with safe controlling valve, which can control the system pressure effectively and play the protective role when overloading. (It shall be matched when customer requires)
 
5. The power tongs has a spring hanger or hydraulic spring hanger. The hydraulic controlling system which is equipped with the slowing up and down power tong and hydraulic spring hanger can adjust the height of power tong in the single lift sub working for the option of user.
 
6. The power tongs is installed a torque controlling system. When the torque reaches the setting value, the power tongs will stop rotating automatically. This control system is convenient for the power tongs to apply the best make-up torque to the different sizes of pip string. This system's torque sensing equipment can be connected with the torquemeter. The torquemeter can indicate, record and print the torque value, and give alarm signal when overloaded (It shall be matched when customer requires).
Operate the manual reversing valve on the main tong, and the main tong and backup tong work synchronously.
  1. Special bidirectional sequence control device for tubing tong shall be equipped as required to realize that the backup tong clamps the tubing before the main tong, so as to make the loading and unloading of tubing safer and more reliable.
  2. The inner curved roller climbing two-way clamping mechanism is used to clamp the oil pipe, which has simple structure and reliable operation.
  3. The main tong is equipped with an automatic opening and closing safety door for safety protection.
  4. Equipped with torque control system.
